Welcome to the New Year!

A very warm welcome to 2024 to all our swimmers, parents and carers, volunteers and coaches. You’ll forgive us for getting very excited about the year ahead, but we had such a good year in 2023 that we have a great platform on which to build this year.

A very special warm welcome to the thirteen new swimmers who have waited patiently to get into the club and who are now fully fledged members – congratulations to Caleb, Summer, Molly, Erin, Amber, Bruce, Julian, Danny, Ally, Isabella, Anne-Marie, Harper and Maddison. We wish you all many years of happy swimming with Glenrothes!

Amongst all the other things that went on just before Christmas, we had a very notable success – winning the Fife Championships. We came top club in Fife in December and claimed the team trophy for only the fourth time in the club’s history. Two of those other occasions were in 1993 and 1994 when Eddie Campbell was Assistant Head Coach, Liz Galloway was in charge of developing young swimmers, Laura Simpson (now Burel) and Craig Holmes were in the team as up and coming swimmers, and a guy called Duncan Simpson was President.I wonder what happened to them??

Anyway, good luck to all our swimmers in 2024!
